BVB IA - Arizona provides "Select" soccer opportunities for both boys and girls from age U-12 to U-18. The select program is designed for players whose skill and development allow them to compete at various levels of play.

The select program has the objective to develop every individual in all techniques needed to set them up for success in soccer, while forming tactically intelligent players who can work as part of a progressive and successful team. Winning games is the byproduct of this development’. BVB IA -Arizona programs embody a “develop to win" philosophy and not a "win at all cost" mentality.

Players in teams at BVB IA - Arizona must demonstrate The Dortmund Way on and off the field. Players in our programs must hold themselves to the highest standard as individuals, teammates, sons or daughters, citizens, and students. They are to represent the Dortmund Way in all that they do and understand that being a part of BVB IA Arizona is an honor that must be met with the highest level of commitment.

The Select Program objective is:

To develop complete soccer athletes who are technically, physically, tactically, proficient, and mentally resilient to the fast-changing world of soccer

Select soccer teams are formed after a comprehensive evaluation process looking at performance in the previous year’s play, player opportunity events and the tryouts held. All players will be placed on teams that reflect their current abilities and where they will achieve maximum development and game time opportunities.

As part of a BVB IA - Arizona team, every player will receive multiple options and opportunities to develop as both soccer players and people.
